Quanti giorni servono: Kaikōura
Spend 2 to 3 days in Kaikōura. The marine wildlife encounters are world-class, but boat tours are heavily weather-dependent. A multi-day stay gives you buffer time against sea swells while allowing you to complete the stunning Kaikōura Peninsula Walkway, feast on local crayfish, and visit the historic Fyffe House.

How does bad weather impact travel plans in Kaikōura?
Ocean swells frequently ground whale and dolphin boats even on sunny days. Booking a minimum of two nights gives you alternative tour departures if your initial marine trip gets cancelled due to rough sea conditions.
