Why visit Mont-Tremblant?

Mont-Tremblant is a mountain resort in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada, about 90 minutes north of Montreal. It is one of eastern North America's best-known ski resorts in winter and a popular base for hiking, biking and lakes in summer and autumn.

The pedestrian village at the foot of the mountain has colourful buildings, restaurants, shops and a free open-air gondola up the slopes. In winter, more than 100 ski runs cover several faces of the mountain. In summer and autumn, the gondola takes hikers to the summit, where trails and viewpoints overlook the lakes, and the autumn colours in late September and October are spectacular. Mont-Tremblant National Park, nearby, has lakes, waterfalls, canoeing and wildlife. The P'tit Train du Nord, an old railway line, is now a long cycling path. Try Quebec specialities such as poutine, tourtière and maple syrup treats.
